We will sit down with you and create a Personalised action plan which will include the steps to get you ready for the world of work.
This includes –
Life Coaching and Career Coaching (from the Coaching Young People For Success Program)
Resume preparation and or ONE page personal profile.
Inviting parents and or carers to support you on your journey.
Undertaking either paid or unpaid paid work experience with a Support Worker with you to be your mentor. This is where you will experience being part of a work team, understand what employers expect and what it takes to keep a job.
Building your confidence and self esteem
Personal Presentation
Finance and Budgeting
Plus other in house workshops to improve your life skills and employability skills.
You will always be central to the planning process and will always have choice and input to the decisions that are made.
We will talk to you and help you identify the things that you are good at and what you like doing, then start identifying roles that may be suited to you.
If required a professional skills/vocational/career assessment can be conducted by one of our Occupational Psych Partners at no cost to you. From this we can access some short paid work experience and have a Support Worker by your side to help and mentor you.
We will help you identify your work skills, even those that you thought you never had!
If required a professional skills/vocational/career assessment can be conducted by one of our Occupational Psych Partners at no cost to you.
We will help you build life skills and confidence and learn about the world of work and what it takes to get there.
You will be able to be supported by our program for up to 12 months with the provision of an extension. You can leave the program once you feel that you are ready for the work of employment (and also be connected to a Disability Employment Service Provider to help you then look for work) at any time.
